The Launch of Your Wilderness Weekly Twitter Forum (#URWilderness)

Wilderness has been a topic that many people love to speak about and participate in - may it be through travel, participation, conservation or just talking about it. With the current species population decline, climate change and biodiversity loss across the globe - it gives us more of a chance to share and join together in showcasing the wonders of our natural world.

We really do not need to be based in a wilderness hotspot to talk about it - Wilderness is all around us and you need to find Your Wilderness.

This is why we launch and give you #URWilderness.

It is a weekly wilderness platform on twitter where people from across the globe come and share their wilderness through posting a simple picture and mention #URWilderness. Each week we will be focusing on one specific category or theme to make these tweets happen.

The RULES of #URWilderness

1. Every Monday between 8am - 9am (GMT) a theme is generated on twitter. Anyone can participate and share your favourite pictures on that specific weekly theme / category by using #URWilderness

2. #URWilderness has no timings and open throughout the day. People can post and join the conversation anytime. Make it fun and interactive.

3. When the forum begins - its simple as to add you pictures on twitter (with using #URWilderness Hashtag) and people from around the world who are following #URWilderness will be able to see your picture. This will give you a wider audience with making new contacts and similar interests and likes.

4. Anyone and everyone can join. You do not need to be a professional photographer as it is open to all. We welcome pictures from professional cameras to uploads from your handheld devices / Mobile phones. This is what makes it interesting as people participating from across the globe see #URWilderness pictures in the form you captured it. It creates an educative platform where people share about their regions.

5. We are very clear about copyright and encourage people to always credit photographers and their work. If the credits are not known please mention the link or website from where the picture has been downloaded.

6. Lastly, we would like to hear from you - how can we take this platform / forum to greater heights where it makes a great positive impact on wilderness that are around you ? If you are interested in sharing ideas for categories please feel free to leave a comment on this blog. You can also connect with Abhishek @WildNavigator on twitter.
